| Introduction | 2012-13 marked the 1st season for Coach Middlebrooks at Cathedral High School, transforming a program that went 6-20 in 2011-12 to a 15-8 mark this season, along with a CIF Quarterfinals appearance. In his 1st season at Cathedral, the program produced 2 McDonald’s All-American Nominees, 1 First Team All-CIF selection, 2 First Team All-League selections, 1 Second Team All-League selection and 2 Division 1 scholarship early signees. Prior to Cathedral, Coach Middlebrooks led the Fighting Frogs of Ribet Academy for 7 seasons (2005 – 2012), revitalizing a program that had fallen from grace after building a championship tradition in the early 1990s. Under Coach Middlebrooks, Ribèt Basketball produced 2 Valedictorians, 1 Salutatorian, 1 CIF Championship, 3 CIF Championship game appearances, 1 Ball Is Life All-American, 1 MaxPreps Freshman All-American, 3 McDonald’s All-American nominees, 1 All State selection, 1 CIF Player of the Year, 1 John R Wooden Award winner, 9 All-CIF selections, 3 League MVP honorees, 19 All League selections. |
