Introduction	For years Ive dreamed of making a living using my hands. Tilling, growing, building. Most people laughed at this notion calling me a hippie and a basket weaver. I saved articles on solar energy, growing my own food, alternative home building and living off the grid. People stopped laughing a few years ago. Seems like my dream is becoming a reality. I have moved to Missouri to be with my oldest son Brian, his wife Jaime and two of my grandchildren Morgan and Cooper. Turns out Brian and I share many of the same views on organic foods, alternative energy and getting off the grid. Jaime sighs but goes along with our hairbrained ideas. This blog is a chronicle of our journey to a better, healthier and cheaper way of life. Jaimes mom Karen, her dad Jim, brother Dan and his wife Mallory have gotten on the green bus with us.
