| Introduction | Having owned and ridden Morgan Horses most of my life, I decided to bring the "small" animals here in 2006. Being a knitter and interested in fiber arts, I decided to learn to spin and began putting together a small flock of fiber animals. I started with 3 sheep: 1 Shetland, 1 Cheviot, and one Corriedale cross, 2 Angora goats, and 1 Cashmere goat. The Shetland soon stole my heart, and I decided to start a breeding program. So I bought some more and in 2008 I had my first lamb crop! I added more summer 2008 and 2009 and am excited to continue to breed quality, healthy animals. My focus is on fleece, disposition, and conformation. Who knew a horse person could turn shepherd so readily? As others have said, it is addicting! |
