| Introduction | If we are going to talk about health care 'reform', it is worth our time to first get a good grasp of the history of health care economics in our country and how we got into a state of needing reform in the first place. We need to first answer why our health care costs are so high? Only then can we talk about fixing it. I am a physician with over 10 years of work in the US as well as prior experience with the health care of south east Asia. It is my duty to share my experiences with my fellow citizens and inform an intelligent discussion on the topic.
