| Introduction | Putting the "rude" back in "erudition!" Hello, welcome to my blog! I'm studying international relations at Johns Hopkins SAIS, with a focus on the history of American policy toward the Middle East and North Africa. My interests include military and diplomatic history, democracy and Islam, and social media and civil society. I study the philosophy of history as an approach to aesthetics as well as international politics, and am working on books about Hegel's historicism in its implications for international relations and art history. The themes of the "end of history" and the "end of art" are seen to be intertwined in misreadings of the original Hegelian texts. |
