Introduction	I'm an exiled citizen of the empire (think Ovid) who's been legally disenfranchised and electronically tagged for public display. In sum, I am reduced to a side show in the larger circus of post-modern, American life. I'm highly educated, erudite, and capable of a great many tasks, yet I am virtually unemployable because of misguided public policies and feel-good political grandstanding.
