| Introduction | Steven Higgins is a 25 year old painter and curator from Rialto California. Higgins is currently the curator of Blackstone Gallery, which is an artist ran gallery space in Downtown Los Angeles. Higgins is also working on a new body of work that is composed of drawings and paintings in varying styles and subject matter. Artists Statement / I will paint pictures and I am not quite sure why. Art has something to do with communication, but, I am not exactly sure what I have to communicate or how communication can occur. I am personally very confused by the notion of self expression and individuality in painting. |
