LocationAnahola, Hi
IntroductionMy friends call me G. I run a tiny creative space in Anahola, Kauai with my old man where we live, work and love. I take inspiration from elements of nature that has sustained the hands of time such as the rain & wind carved cliffs of the Na Pali coast, the rugged deserted coastline of beautiful Big Sur, the magic of the massive and awe-inspiring coastal redwoods, to the old growth Spanish Oaks and ancient boulders caressing the interiors of Topanga. I love things that are a bit weathered and generally off the beaten path. My goods are handmade using mostly recycled, re-claimed, vintage materials chosen for their specific reflection on nature that I admire so much, whether it be a certain color that captures an overcast coastal horizon or the mottling on a fabric reminiscent of a salty gray shore-line. All new materials used are either organic in nature or recycled. My hope is that my wares will mimic and compliment your favorite old pair of jeans or the impossibly soft holey t-shirts that you will never part with, ultimately feeling and looking better with age. I strive to make “non-disposable” aesthetically pleasing goods that are most importantly utilitarian in nature.
