About me

Location Indianapolis, Indiana
Introduction My name is Mandy and I'm 24 years old. I studied Microbiology at Indiana University and have my Bachelor's degree. I am currently working as a Research Technician in a lab at the IU School of Medicine. I have always loved animals and been involved with some sort of sport involving them for most of my life. Until recently, I was a very active equestrian. Unfortunately, now that I am a grownup facing the real world with an entry level job, I can no longer afford to own or show horses, or even to take lessons. (I'm very lucky to be able to hop on my friend's horse Rusty every so often, at least!) My forced disengagement with the horse industry led me to become more involved with my dogs. I am very thankful for that because I have learned so much about training, and dogs in general. I am excited about all we have learned so far, and for what the future has to offer. I am lucky to have been exposed to positive reinforcement from the get-go. I will never use any other method, if I can avoid it. There is no greater reward for me than to accomplish something with your dog, and for both of you to have FUN doing it!
