Introduction	I am an artist living in the south east of Ireland right near the coast outside the seaside town of Tramore in a townland called Westown(or on the maps Westtown but we all seemed to have dropped the ‘t’.). From the front of my (rented)house I can see clear across Tramore Bay to Brownstown Head. From the back of my house upstairs, I can see to the Comeragh mountains, 30 miles west and, if I stand on tiptoe, all along the coast to Dungarvan. I walk and swim, whale watch all along the coast. I also bodyboard and am graduating to surfing this year. I love the sea, the outdoors, the weather (or most of it). Westown and its environs have inspired 3 of my 4 solo shows . I am putting my painting on the backburner for now because I want to explore other ways of expressing myself including writing which is why I am doing this now. I would like to write about daily life in Westown, the sea, the people and whatever else catches my fancy. I imagine the posts will end up being a mish mash of everything. I hope you enjoy it. Please give me feedback and kick me in the ass to write. I will need it! Clare
