| Introduction | This blog documents the sources of quoted instances of silence, appropriated from works of fiction, as part of my multi-faceted work Observing Silence. As new texts are found, further posts will be added, creating an ever-increasing compendium of silence. All appropriated extracts are in English or from English translations.
