| Introduction | Hi! I'm Amanda, originally from Austin but just moved back from living in Northern Virginia for three years (an hour away from DC). I am considered a Liberal, but I do have some conservative views such as the right to own and bear arms. One side of my family is Republican, and the other is Democratic, so I've been exposed to views from both sides. I enjoy researching and forming my own opinions on political issues. This will b e my first time voting,a nd I think it's very important that everyone educates themselves and votes. As a sidenote, I'll be voting via absentee ballot for Virginia! Although this class is a requirement, I'm excited to further develop my views and become educated on all subjects of Texas (obviously this class will help in the area of government). |
