Introduction	Few people know about the wonders to be found in the countryside around Farmington, New Mexico. Mesa Verde National Park is 75 miles north, while Chaco Culture National Historical Park is 75 miles south. To the southwest, 135 miles, is Canyon de Chelly; to the west, 131 miles, is Monument Valley. Within easy driving distance are four of the great parks of the American southwest. This is where I love to spend my summer vacations, and have since 1981.
Interests	Collecting books on the American southwest, postcards of the Four Corner states, sci-fi films, Glidden pottery, single malt Scotch, beer from microbreweries.
Favorite Movies	Transformers (hey, it's a comedy), Black Hawk Down, U-571, Das Boot and 300
Favorite Music	Most music by Beethoven.
Favorite Books	The once and future king.
