Introduction Her paintings appeal directly to the taste, because she is a colorist, not a colorinist; but she is not only delicate and has taste, for she paints not only for the sake of painting well, but has enough consciousness and sensitivity to feel she is an artist. She therefore understands and feels that one engages in artistic painting in order to imagine and to say more than the painting itself. In each painting, she seeks an idea. This is why her paintings should be seen and thought about. She now proposes the idea of change in the order of things and the extrapolation of forms, tied to a single dominating color, although rich in variations. She is primarily a landscaper; she sees the world from the mentality and sensitivity of the landscape, and creates something like lateral perspectives. It seems as if her visions were subject to sliding movements that have resulted in recreations and spaces there where there are naturally none. These visions, more than glances, in which things move for no reason, is the personal world of this painter, closer to the poetic than to the reasonable, more Easter than Western, and always in a balance between painting and drawing.
