Introduction	Elle Carter Neal is the author of Madison Lane and the Wand of Rasputin, and the owner of HearWriteNow.com, an online magazine for writers and other creative folk. Elle has a flair for interpreting what she calls the "perception matrix" of a manuscript, and offers a range of editing services. She also works behind the scenes at the Blood-Red Pencil Blog, which provides editing tips and all sorts of advice for writers. Elle was formerly the Fiction Writing and Creativity Editor for BellaOnline. She has also done time as a slush pile reader and executive assistant for a small publisher. (She's now working on the "crime".)
