| Introduction | Hi everyone! I graduated from the school of filmmaking at San Francisco State University in 2005. After finishing the program, I moved to Los Angeles and worked as a production and story assistant for INTERVENTION, the Emmy-winning TV show on real-life families struggling with addiction. My first rave was in Oakland, California in 1999. A year and a half later, I started volunteering as a coordinator, recruiter, and trainer for the S.F. Bay Area chapter of DanceSafe, America’s first harm reduction organization dedicated to the electronic music scene. In the weeks leading up to EDC 2010, I was developing a video blog series for DanceSafe. As the controversy suddenly began and this event became the central point of every discussion, my vblog project slowly transformed into a single, feature-length story. And the rest is history. |
