IntroductionBorn in El Paso, TX. Lived in Abeline, TX, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Denver, Casper, WY and Billings, MT all until I was 14 and we moved back to Albuquerque. Went to Sandia High School and got a BA in Speech Communication at the University of New Mexico. Worked at my father's gift shop in Old Town, Albuquerque off and on since I was 14. Had internships at KUNM-FM and KQEO-AM writing news, and at KNME-TV doing public affairs program production. Did a volunteer overnight free-form DJ shift at KUNM for 2 years, along with film reviews and news reporting for a few more years. Created, shot, edited and performed in numerous shows for Public Access Community Cable Channel 27, including a film review show, a variety/news show, a comedy show, an experimental video show, and a weekly alternative music video show called "The Thursday Beat." I also ran the master control board for two years. Opened my own bookshop in 1993, selling books on the Southwest and Old West. Still going strong. Never married. Two dogs: Golden Retriever cross and a Chihuahua.

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?

Not very. I expected them to show up for work as always.
