Introduction	Hello everyone! My name is Gareth Perkins and I'm a nature writer, naturalist, and artist based out of New England. My interests in the natural world intersect with learning about local and natural history, wood carving, outdoor recreation, survival skills, environmental education, foraging and wild foods, photography, and birding. I have had the great fortune to teach people of all ages and learn from some amazing educators in several Eastern seaboard states. Those lessons and my experiences ave enhanced my appreciation for nature and its bounty and encourage me to share it with friends both new and old. Interests	Nature history, wood carving, birding, spending time in the woods, writing, deep conversations, good food, and making strong connections.
Favorite Music	Ambient and folk music is preferred while writing as it doesn't distract from the words.
Favorite Books	My three favorites at the moment are "The Lost Continent" by Bill Bryson, "Reading the Forested Landscape" by Tom Wessels, and "Trespassing Across America" by Ken Ilgunas
