| Introduction | I'm not in any political party and without affiliation to any candidate. I'm interested in the future of the city, particularly its economic and social prospects. I'm a partner in start-up firm, So-Mo-Co, that supports on-line and off-line social networks through the use of public engagement, digital technology and impact measurement. Our approach to technology is based on Social Mobilisation which helps people understand how technology can help achieve real world goals. I've been a social innovator in technology since the late 80s and most recently I ran the Beta Model, an on-line service for measuring economic development. I'm currently the join holder of the Sam Aaronvitch Prize for Local Economy. I'm also a Trustee of the Urban Forum. My off-line passions are gardening, cycling & music. I'm supported in my various ventures by my lovely partner and 4 children. We live in Wavertee. |
