| Introduction | Gauri Gadekar (nee UshaGauri Nadkarni) is a Mumbai based writer, ex-banker, bibliophile, lover of mathematics, mother of 2, grandmother of 2, senior citizen who's still 25 at heart. After 40 years in banking, Gauri took an early retirement from the banking world and has been pursuing her passion for the written word for the past 15 years. Her first book 'Naata' was published in 2007 by Madhushree Prakashan followed by Outsider, Sahaj, Vagere (2019) and Teesra Pustak (2019). Her work, including fiction & non fiction stories, has been featured in Marathi magazines like Maaher, Stree, Anuradha, Hans, Kathashree. Lalana and some English magazines like New Woman. She has also worked on the translated Marathi editions of English books like 'Vaadalatil Deepasthambh' and 'Mrutyuvar Maat'. A lot of her stories are inspired by people, events, stories and incidents that she sees around her (but with a fictional twist :)). |
