About me

Introduction	This is my second visit to India in the last year - who says I'm obsessed with this colourful and enchanting country? This time I will be sharing the experience with my friend Renuka. Our journey begins in Goa, but immediately deviates north to the state of Maharashtra - a land of mountains, forts, caves and temples sculpted out of basalt rock. Renuka's extended family have organised hotels and tours and hospitality, which is so typical of the Indian psyche. We just need to turn up and enjoy! Once we have explored Maharashtra, we meander south to Goa on the Konkan railway - reputed to be one of the most scenic train rides in the world. Goa will see us chilling out (perhaps a little partying if Renuka's mum is involved!) and spending Christmas on the beach - it's such a hard life! Hope you enjoy my account of this brief experience.
