| Introduction | We have set out to find (and drink!) the ultimate Mai Tai of Kauai (UMToK). Legends hint at the existence of a paradisical libation - a nectar of the Hawaiian Gods (or at least the Menehune) - so potent and delicious it renders the imbiber completely euphoric! We have 12 days to track down this elusive elixer; a tough job but we figured since someone's gotta do it, it might as well be us! Mark has enjoyed many a Mai Tai during previous trips to the Hawaiian Islands. Unfortunately, he can't seem to remember where the best one was... Scoring criteria: 1. Presentation (paper drink umbrella, layering, fruit garnish) 2. Flavour (not too rummy, fruity, or watery) 3. Location ambiance (authenticity of Hawaiian décor/music, ocean view, seats that don't stick to sunburnt butts) 4. Psychomotor Effects (numbing of lips, slurring of speech, inability to form coherent sentences or document drink review) 5. Server Enthusiasm 6. Cost 7.
