Introduction	Hey all. I'm a second year med student at the University of Otago. Over the summer of 2009/2010 I found myself jotting down some thoughts on Health Sciences First Year at Otago, as a way of killing time (don't ask me why). Anyway, it struck me that maybe some future HSFYers may be interested in reading what turned into a load of advice on achieving success in Otago HSFY, so yeah, that's what this site is about. Given that I achieved a 97% average and a 99th percentile UMAT, I reckon I am pretty well placed to give advice, but please remember that this is just my advice. I'm sure many people with equal success would disagree on many things I say (and if anyone reading anything here does happen to disagree I encourage them to comment to that effect). So yeah, hope this of help to any readers.
