Introduction	I was supposed to be retired by now and living near a golf course in Palm Springs. Trouble is, I hate golf and Palm Springs. Instead, I'm happy working in Seattle and writing every chance I get, en coda. This isn't a daily journal; it is a repository for my writing. I'll post two stories a month, after the first and fifteenth. Thanks for reading!
Interests	Writing, reading, literary discussion, drumming, morel hunting, horse racing, harmonica playing, chamber music, hiking & exploring
Favorite movies	Anything with Matthew McConaughey in it. Woody Allen films. The Namesake, based on an Indian novel. Epic stuff like Lord of the Rings. Israeli films of the last five years or so.
Favorite music	Beethoven string quartets, Bach cello suites, Cumbia from Jalisco, Blues, Texas Swing. Well, it's all rock and roll to me.
Favorite books	The Russians got me again, since some new translations of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy came out.
