Introduction I am a third grade Language Arts teacher in a school in The Woodlands, Texas. I was born in Dallas, but had many wonderful years in between at Sharon, PA; Warren, OH; and Akron, OH. One of my sisters lives in Fairbanks, AK, and she is the one who got me "hooked" on the Iditarod. I am setting up a blog to share with my third graders in Texas when I travel to Alaska in March 2007 to observe first hand the start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. I have enjoyed teaching my students all the history and excitement of this race for about five years now. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to see the race start in person and send reports with photos back to my school.
