| Introduction | If you're been looking for a place where you can type in "headache" and find what food you can whip up in your kitchen to alleviate yourself of said headache, this place was created for just that. I've spent my life studying medicine and food as medicine. I was born in Colombia, raised in Thailand (lived in Sri Lanka and Hong Kong en route), and spent a chunk of time living in the U.S. (Miami/Boston/NYC/Indianapolis/Chicago). I spent a year in Beijing studying Chinese Medicine post graduate studies and three years in Chongqing (formerly Chungking) to delve even further into yao shan, or medicinal cooking. Am currently back in Thailand, living seaside. All these places have influenced my palate greatly and you'll see this dotted throughout the recipes I'll share. I'm an Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a passion for and a specialization in medicinal cooking and nutrition. I use traditional and new recipes to harness the healing qualities of herbs and food in everyday cooking. I also love food so I try to make the medicine tasty. |
