| Introduction | I grew up on a tea plantation in Assam, India. I am a designer, an artist, an aspiring writer, an enthusiastic cook and a compulsive tea drinker. I have an incorrigible curiosity about food, people and some rather off-beat theories on life. Theory #1- Never dine alone: research shows there is less obesity in cultures where eating is a social activity. It is not Krispie Kreme that made America fat but loneliness and stress (super-size that). Theory # 2- Cooking sensational meals is never simple or quick and easy: It is a labor of love and the reward is in the process. Theory # 3- There is no "bad" food only food that tastes bad. So my Spice-a-ronies, let's cook, connect and be merry. Remember a whole pot of soup and a bowl for one is a wasted feast. |
