| Introduction | The small cat takes up most of my time when I'm not being rudely interrupted by work. Other than that, a lot of crochet goes on, with the odd walk when the bigger cat succeeds in prising me out of the chair. I don't like cooking, but I like eating. And I'm a Guardian reader, which has already caused a little indulgent mirth amongst some of the village glitterati. So far, all attempts to enlist me into the WI have failed. It's like siege warfare, but I've got rations which could last weeks. |
