| Introduction | I've left "my mountains" behind though they are forever etched in memory and photos, and returned to the sweet land of Tennessee. Ensconced in my 17th-floor apartment overlooking the city, it is a big change. I have a front-row seat to the skies changes and awaken to the soft morning colors floating in my wall of windows. Nature is all around, though different than the mountains. Much has changed since the days when I worked and raised my children here. I've found two lovely spots outside in which to take my computer and write--Cheekwood Botanic Gardens and an obscure picnic shelter at our of our parks. I'm hopeful about publication of my newly revised memoir, and am almost finished with the first draft of a novel, a family saga that begs another book.
