| Introduction | The CBC Diversity Committee strives to increase awareness within the publishing industry that we live in a diverse society and all should be represented as employees within the industry, as authors of inspiring content, and as characters representing different young audiences. The Committee also endeavors to keep the diversity conversation ever-present by hosting 2-4 events a year to encourage those in all levels of the industry that diverse books do thrive and educate younger members within the industry to be conscious of diversity issues. |
