| Introduction | I'm a layman with a spiritual bent. I've written two new books: one is my auto-bio called "Spittin' White" and a novel called "Transmuter." I may be retired. I want to start a blog that will appeal to anyone put off by my faith or who yearns for a new Christianity to emerge. I know truth is a slippery thing. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to grab it. This is my attempt to further that aim. |
| Interests | My wife, kids, friends, relations, elders, music, writing, and drawing. God is also featured in this mix. |
| Favorite movies | Childhood: Cyrano de Bergerac, 7th Voyage of Sinbad,The Vikings, Adult: Young Einstein, The Gladiator, Indiana Jones |
| Favorite music | Some music I picked up in 2009 included White Denim, Nick Cage, Ray Davies's "Working Man's Cafe," Dylan (as always). I'm a "garage rocker." |
| Favorite books | The Bible, Brian McLaren stuff. "Crazy for God," and "The Family" were biggies for me in 2009. |
You've successfully slain the dragon! How will you toast your marshmallows?
Dragon breath will still burn for 3 to 5 hours after the leviathan is dead. I would use that flame to burn my marshmallows. I don't eat marshmallows and would want the smoke to drown out the smell of rotting dragon flesh. Of course, I could light the thing on fire and invite the neighbor kids to roast marshmallows.
