| Introduction | In October 2010 I came to the Middle East with great apprehension. I didn't think I would be staying long. It's been over two years now and, upon reflection, it seems as though life was (and is) granting me the opportunity to ponder on my career and personal life. During this time, I've done some wonderful work here, have had one of the most amazing experiences in my life (the birth of my daughter) and mourned a number of significant losses. It's as if I have lived a thousand lives. Now, I think it's time to start writing things down. |
