| Introduction | Well, I am a husband, dad and Poppy. I've been married for over 30 yrs to the same beautiful Irish lass (this qualifies me for immediate sainthood I'm told). I am a dad to 2 great kids. My daughter is married to a Winston-Salem Police Officer. She is also a blogger herself (and very good at it I might add). Her blog is found at www.fiercebeagle.com and I highly recommend reading it. She forced (I mean inspired) me to start this blog. My son is in college (Oklahoma Christian Univeristy) majoring in Sports & Recreation Mgmt. He wants to be a baseball coach which I think is awesome. He loves baseball and would be an excellent coach. And I am Poppy to the cutest and smartest little guy in the world. I am an avid cook and started cooking when I was 16 yrs old when my mom went back to school to be a nurse. My dad, brother and I had to eat, so I started to cook. My mom left her recipes out and so I started to cook with them and over time have learned to make all sorts of stuff. Cooking is my therapy as well as my passion. I love to try new things and create my own recipes. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. But hey that's part of the fun of it. |
