| Introduction | I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35 while living and working in Southeast Asia. I returned to the States for treatment. I spent 2 1/2 years going through treatment and recovery. I had a double mastectomy; 6 rounds of chemotherapy; 43 rounds of radiation; and double back flap breast reconstruction. I returned to Southeast Asia in the Spring of 2005 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August of 2005. I returned again to the States for treatment. I had brain surgery and Cyber knife procedure to remove the tumor. I started chemotherapy again. Then I developed 2 more smaller tumors in my brain. Those were removed by Cyber knife. I have just started 2 more different chemotherapies. I am single; never married. I have wonderful nieces and nephews though - along with nieces and nephew-in-laws - plus 2 great nieces - and they are truly great!! My family is great. And my LORD is the greatest. He has remained my rock through all of this and will continue to strengthen and guide me through all of this. We all are praying for complete healing. |
