| Introduction | Over the past seven years my primary occupation has been raising my two children, which has resulted in a growing interest in human development and a need to create synergies between my various responsibilities. Although my professional teaching experience has mainly involved adolescents and adults, focusing on children in my course work has created a mutually beneficial relationship between parenting and my studies.
