Introduction	When I was eleven years old my mom stuck me on a plane and sent me off to my Aunt Lorraine's for a week. In those seven days my aunt showed me how to throw some little pots, and after that I was totally hooked. It's been over fourteen years since then, and no matter what has been going on in my life I've always come back to the clay. While school is a great way to learn things, I could never really convince myself it was worth the deep financial debt to go to art school. I collect words of wisdom from other artists, research til my eyes are sore on the internet, and read books. And above all, I get my hands dirty. This blog is here to keep me motivated, document progress, and share what I've learned. I hope that other independent artists find it useful, and anyone curious about what an artist's life is like might enjoy the insight. Also, working from home makes it easy for me to forget how to talk to people, so please start a conversation!
