| Introduction | Ashlyn Weaver, M.A. is a Kanaka Maoli wahine Anthropologist / scholar / activist / storyteller born and raised in California’s culturally driven and diverse Bay Area, but now lives in Northern California with her newly engaged fiancé. Ashlyn earned her M.A. in Anthropology with an emphasis in Hawaiian history in 2020 from the California State University, Chico. She recently graduated from Shasta Community College with her certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Ashlyn currently serves as the Coordinator and GIS Specialist under the direction of the California Historic Resource and Information System (CHRIS) Northeast Information Center. She also serves as the faculty advisor of CSU, Chico’s Pacific Islanders’ Club and is the current Legislative Chair for the Society of Hawaiian Archaeology. |
