SCI-SCIF at CITES
My blogs
| Introduction | SCI protects the freedom to hunt and promotes wildlife conservation worldwide. SCIF funds and manages worldwide programs dedicated to wildlife conservation, outdoor education and humanitarian services. Since 2000, SCI has spent over $140 million on protecting the freedom to hunt through advocacy, litigation and education to ensure hunting is protected for future generations. SCI effectively represents hunters’ interests in legislative bodies at every level, the legal arena, and international diplomatic forums (such as CITES). Since 2000, SCIF has provided over $47 million to conservation, wildlife education, and humanitarian programs around the world. With recent expenditures exceeding $5 million annually, SCIF has continued to promote science-based conservation through wildlife research, capacity building in governments, youth and teacher education, and humanitarian projects, all of which show the importance of the hunting community in society. In the last 5 years, our Sportsmen Against Hunger Program has donated over 1 million pounds of venison to those in need. |
