| Introduction | I am 29 years old and for as long as I can remember I have loved to dance. It was my life long dream to open a dance studio. Six year ago, with the help of my loving husband and my crazy family that dream was made a reality. My life is busy, stressful, and I am always on the go. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 4 years ago. And a couple of weeks ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. These major health complications have forever changed my life. It has made everything more difficult. At times I am unable get everything on my to do list done. Which can be discouraging. This blog is about our journey and how we are coping with the daily struggles of UC and cancer. We try our hardest to maintain a normal life, whatever that means. It is my hope that this blog brings comfort and peace to others in a similar situation. Strength in numbers! |
| Interests | I am a big KU fan. We love going to any and all local sporting events. Both my husband and I are very involved with our community. When we can we volunteer and sponsor many events in our small town. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. |
| Favorite music | I love all music! Everything from country to hip-hop. I am currently listening to Irish pub music from my hospital room. It makes me happy! |
| Favorite books | I am in a book club and we have a ton of fun. I enjoy reading it helps me unwind after a long day. Some of the books I have read lately and I would recommend to others are "Bossypants", Tina Fey "The Duck Commander", Willie Robertson "Confessions of a Shopaholic", Sophie Kinsella "Let's Pretend This Never Happened", Jenny Lawson "Safe Haven", Nicholas Sparks |
