| Introduction | For 30 years my mom’s kitchen has fed my core, providing fresh meals and place to be imaginative. It was there I developed a passion to create and escape from reality. Although cooking culminates in a practical purpose, it’s an expression of scents, flavors and textures you can only imagine – until you have the courage to combine them. As adults, we allow our jobs and chores to take our imagination and creativity hostage. We tell ourselves we don’t deserve the time for them; it’s not productive. But rather than dreading the “what’s for dinner tonight” question, let's embrace it as a challenge. I started listening to the items in my pantry as if they were daring me to pair them together. That’s what this blog is about; a place to share some of my favorite and simple recipes, and the stories behind their creation, that will serve as inspiration to you, my food friends. |
