| Introduction | I'm a recent college graduate struggling with multiple desires to research the world, engage in activist struggles, and help the people of my city. For now, I'm embarking on a 6-month journey as a research assistant on a NSF funded project in Appalachia. I will be researching forest change in Appalachia, especially the interconnected human and ecological affects on land ownership and forest change. This blog is to provide me with a personal place to track my work progress, but also to record the learning and mental changes I see in myself. Also, just as importantly, this will be a place to save and reflect on the personal stories that I will encounter throughout my research. |
