| Introduction | I'm the President of Affinity Group Strategies, Inc., a strategy and organization development practice aimed at developing strategic partnerships between insurers and trade associations, chambers of commerce, and corporate clients seeking to build their customer/member base through the offering of insurance and other services. I'm a battle-scarred veteran of 30 years in the Small Business Wars as a consultant and non-profit executive. In building an early prototype of a private health exchange for my alma mater, Cleveland's Council Of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), which was the largest small group purchasing plan in the U.S., and as a consultant in developing and building private health exchanges for insurers and brokers, I learned the value of clear thinking and straight talk...both in short supply in health care and public affairs. I've briefed three US Presidents, testified before and lobbied both Houses of Congress, and spoken to political and business groups throughout the country. |
