| Introduction | The world doesn't suffer from a shortage of higher education commentary. So why add to the noise? I’ve spent more than 25 years building programs, teams and organizations in professional, continuing and online education (PCO). Some of it has worked beautifully. Some of it, not so well. I’ve learned more from the latter. I’ve also learned that the students PCO units serve are special. The programs, people and policies that make college possible for them are special too. This blog is a small attempt to pay closer attention to the corner of higher education that has shaped me professionally and that I've spent a career trying, imperfectly, to improve in return. |
