| Introduction | Welcome to my first blog! For those of you who don't know me personally, I am a poet and writer in my spare time. Many requests have been made for me to publish some of my work; thus the blog. But, it will be more than that, it will be ideas, opinions, and tidbits of info I feel like passing on to everyone. So sit back, relax, & hopefully enjoy! ***I was born and raised in Kanawha County, West Virginia, the fifth of six children, I can't say my love of writing began early but my love of reading certainly did. Perhaps my late start is due to circumstance--I married young and two years later began raising two beautiful daughters -- my job for the next two decades. Divorced in middle age with a need to vent some strong emotions, I turned to the "pen". Since writing for me has become as strong as any desire to procreate, I liken the process to birth: you must first conceive the idea,then nurture it until the time comes for birth in all its glory, and you couldn't be prouder. Other than raising a child to become a responsible, caring, loving adult there is nothing more satisfying than creating with words your legacy to leave to the world. |
