| Introduction | I'm a semi-retired veteran of the specialty coffee and tea trade. I spent extended time at Starbucks (1984-85 & '87-93), where I had broad responsibilities for coffee quality, brewing equipment, recipes and training, and I was Senior V.P.& Coffee Buyer for Allegro Coffee. I've written extensively on coffee for the aforementioned companies as well as trade journals, and co-wrote the book Coffee Basics (John Wiley, 1997). This blog is a place for occasional posts about specialty coffee and tea that I hope offer an informed and critical perspective on today's scene. |
