| Introduction | I used to live in cities whose names are commonly found on shopping bags. All have Chinatowns, but each one has its own distinctive dish that would never be found in China, except for one city which is now back to China. After years relocations and storage units, I now find myself in the tropics where the sun can be blistering hot, the walls crying with humidity and the people greeting each other with a cheerful "Good morning Ma'am, Sir." in a sing-song fashion irregardless if the person they greet is man or woman or child. |
