Introduction	Each May, 5 writers and 5 artists, living all over the country, are hand-picked to participate in Flying House. They are split into writer/artist pairs and forced to collaborate. They must bump into walls, force themselves over thresholds, and stop themselves just short of flying out the window—because at the end of six months they are required to produce both a visual representation of their collaboration, as well as a piece of short fiction, poetry, or nonfiction. Then… we celebrate. We cover the walls and halls and floorboards of our gallery space in Chicago with all of the year’s productions, and we set up a stage for the writers to spew out their words--and then we all have a night of literary and artistic revelry! We also bottle up the whole experience and produce the annual anthology for all you lovely backers to enjoy. Come join in the fun! There’s a blank wall with your name on it.
