| Introduction | Studio One Art Center offers art classes for adults, children and teens in Ceramics, Sculpture, Flower Arts, Glass Fusing, Stained Glass, Bead-making, Jewelry, Painting, Mixed Media, Drawing, Life Drawing, Labs, Calligraphy, Sewing, Photography, Digital Photography, Yoga, Dance, Language Arts, Drama, Cartooning, Youth Sports, an Afterschool Arts Academy and Winter, Spring and Summer Art Day Camps. We also host a gallery space and a reading series as part of Temescal First Fridays, featuring poets, musicians, film makers and more. Studio One is a self-sustaining site, as well as a division of the Parks and Recreation Department through the City of Oakland. Our state-of-the-art facilities are available as rentals for parties, meetings, community events, classes and social gatherings. We are located at 365 45th Street--nestled right in between Oakland Tech High School and the Temescal Pool. |
