| Introduction | My name is Louis. Officially Louis K. Lowy. A former firefighter, my work has appeared in, among others, Coral Living Magazine, New Plains Review, Merge, Ethereal Tales, and forthcoming in The MacGuffin, The Toucan and in audio form on Sniplits.com. My humor poem “Poetry Workshop” was the second place winner of the 2009 Winning Writers Wergle Flomp Contest. My sci-fi novel Die Laughing is scheduled for release in April 2011. I am working toward my MFA in creative writing at Florida International University and am on the staff of Gulf Stream, the University's literary journal. Besides writing, I play bass guitar. My favorite bass to play is my 1970's Fender Precision. My most well known band was Hemlock, which had the dance hits “Disco Break” and “Body Rhythm.” My website is www.louisklowy.com |
