| Introduction | My first section hike on the Appalachian Trail--Springer Mountain, Georgia to Winding Stair Gap in North Carolina--107 miles! Did I mention MY CLOCK IS TICKING? Since I retired, I've been checking things off my bucket list. Last summer I rode my bicycle from Mobile to Niagara Falls. This year, I'm hiking. Nothing big, like the whole AT, or Pacific Crest Trail, but several shorter hikes. I'm still looking for the perfect pair of boots, but until then, I'm putting on the ones I have, and hitting the trail. |
